Authentication Certificates
Overview
To access certain electronic markets, it is necessary for users to use digital certificates to be authenticated on the platform.
You can also use only the certificate to log in in the platform without entering your user name or password.
The Digital Authentication Certificates are mandatory, under the Article 26 º from Order 701-G/2008 from the Portuguese legislation, for the authentication (Log in) effects on electronic contracting platforms.
The identification of all users on the electronic platforms takes place through the use of digital certificates.
How to?
Request and Install Vortal Authentication Certificate
After Login, click on top right corner (on user image), select Profile Settings.
Next, on the left side of the page, click on My Digital Certificates.
Click on Request Authentication Certificate.
A new field window will appear on your screen to perform the request for authentication certificate.
- On the field Select Directory, select the folder where you pretend to save the certificate;
- Set a password for the certificate, the password cannot be more than 6 characters (the keyword will be used every time you login);
- Check I have read and Accept the terms of Use of Vortal Digital Certificates;
- Click on Request.
The request for authentication certificate will create a file with your name, date and time, with .jks extension, which is stored in the selected folder.
This file is required to complete the certificate request, do not delete it.
The certificate is automatically issued with the status "Accepted".
A new field will be available called Download Digital Certificate to load the certificate:
Click Browse and select the file with .jks extension which was generated during the certificate request;
Enter the certificate password (which was defined during the certificate request);
Click Download.
In the folder that you saved the .jks extension file, a new file is generated with .p12 or .pfx extension, this is your certificate.
The certificate is automatically associated to your user.
In order to log in with certificate, it is necessary to install it on the browsers which will be used to access the platform.
To install VORTAL certificate on INTERNET EXPLORER, GOOGLE CHROME and SAFARI:
- Go to the folder where you saved the certificate and double click on the file (with p12 or pfx extension);
When you double click on the file, Certificate Import Wizard will appear on your screen, click Next;
Click Next;
Enter the certificate password (which was defined during the certificate request) and click Next;
- Click Next;
- Click Finish;
- Success message will appear on your screen.
To install Vortal Certificate on MOZILLA FIREFOX:
- Click on Menu (Three parallel lines on top right corner);
- Click on Options;
Click on Advanced;
Click on Certificates;
Click on View Certificates;
Click on Import.
Select file of Vortal Certificate;
Enter the certificate password (which was defined during the certificate request)
Click OK.
The certificate is installed successfully on your browser.
To install Vortal Certificate on OPERA:
- Click on Opera on top left corner of the browser;
- Click on Settings;
- A new page will appear, after that click on Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page Click on Manage Certificates under HTTPS/SSL.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page Click on Manage Certificates under HTTPS/SSL.
Select file of Vortal Certificate;
- Enter the certificate password (which was defined during the certificate request)
- Click OK.
The certificate is installed successfully on your browser.
